About the AHHA

The Australian Healthcare & Hospitals Association (AHHA) is the only national organisation representing the public healthcare sector and the professionals working in it.

For over 60 years the AHHA has upheld the voice of public healthcare. Our core business is to represent and support Australia’s public healthcare sector. Our mission is to develop good policies and promote reform. The Association supports access to networks of colleagues and provides professional forums to stimulate critical thinking. It facilitates a collective voice across Australia on behalf of the public healthcare sector.

The Australia Institute of Health Policy Studies (AIHPS) is a national institute devoted to studying the ways that health policy research and debate can improve the health of all Australians. AIHPS aims to improve the national capacity for, and stimulate, commission and conduct policy-relevant research.
