Welcome Reception

A great way to unwind at the end of the first day of the conference. The Welcome Reception provides the perfect opportunity to renew former acquaintances or make some new ones. Young Statisticians Dinner

Tours

Wednesday 11 July – 1.30pm to 4.30pm

A half day break has been scheduled to allow visitors to Adelaide to experience just a little more than the conference program.

Delegates are free to make their own plans, or may choose to take up one of the tour options listed below. A minimum of 10 participants is required for each tour to proceed and early booking is recommended.

Adelaide Hills Wine and Cheese Tasting

Tickets are $49 incl GST per person

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and head to the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Take in the stunning view of the city from Mount Lofty Summit and Lookout. Experience premium wine tasting at two local wineries. Enjoy tea/coffee and cheese tasting at Udder Delights in Hahndorf, a historic German village.

Adelaide City Gardens and Beaches, Including Sir Ronald Fisher’s Final Resting Place

Tickets are $39 incl GST per person and include a small donation to St Peter’s Cathedral

Enjoy a quick tour of the city and surrounds, including historic buildings and gardens, Light’s Vision and Adelaide Oval.

Step inside St Peter’s Cathedral for a brief tour and see where Sir Ronald Fisher’s ashes lie buried beneath a commemorative plaque.

Take a deep breath and experience the intoxicating chocolate smell on a tour of Haigh’s Chocolate Factory, including tea/coffee. Visit the popular beachside suburb of Glenelg for the chance to take a walk on the jetty, explore the local shops or simply relax in one of the many cafes on offer.
