The Organising Committee invites submission of abstracts to be presented at the 5th Australian Microarray Conference.
You must be a registered delegate to submit an abstract for consideration for the program. Go to registration page
Authors who nominate for an oral presentation should note that the Organising Committee will attempt to comply with your request, but cannot guarantee a successful outcome to all. Speakers will be advised on the outcome of their abstract(s) by early August
Students are actively encouraged to attend this conference and to join AMATA. Towards this goal, the following awards will be available to conference participants
AMATA have donated funds enabling the award of five bursaries of $300 each. All student applicants must be a presenting first author on an abstract for poster or oral presentation, must be a student at the time of registering for the conference, and must be members of AMATA. The bursaries are intended for students who otherwise could not afford to attend after exclusion of all other possible institutional/group assistance schemes. To qualify for a bursary, please tick the box on the registration form, provide a letter to the conference secretariat explaining your circumstances and provide evidence of student status (eg – letter from supervisor stating you have student status at the time of registration). If you need confirmation of award of a bursary before registering, you must submit the application no later than 24th June, and will receive notification by 1st July. You may also send a bursary application at the time of registering. The award will be made at the conference in the form of a cheque made payable to the recipient.
Two awards of $275 each, donated by Agilent Technologies, and 3 mini-ipods, donated by CSIRO Bioinformatics, will be judged by the sponsors and visiting international speakers following a review of all displayed posters and talks.
AMATA Young Investigator Award
The AMATA Young Investigator Award of $1000 will be open to all investigators who are less than 35 years old of age, or within 5 years of obtaining a doctorial postgraduate degree, and are members of AMATA.
