Professor Keryln Carville – Australia  

Keryln Carville PhD, RN, STN(Cred) 
Professor Domiciliary Nursing
Silver Chain Nursing Association and Curtin University of Technology
Western Australia.

Keryln has extensive wound and ostomy experience and an ongoing commitment to research and education within these domains. Keryln is an active AASTN WA Branch member, is an Inaugural Fellow of the Australian Wound Management Association, Chair of the Australian Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and the Australian Wound Standards Committee. She has recently been awarded a life time achievement award for her contribution to wound care, ostomy and continence management in Western Australia.  Keryln is also author of the Wound Care Manual, used by most wound management clinicians in Australia and overseas.

 

Pat Black – United Kingdom

Pat Black, M.Sc, SRN, RCNT, FETC, FPA Cert, ENB980, Adv Stoma Cert, Dip N, SCM pt 1.
Consultant Nurse, Coloproctology.
Honorary Senior Lecturer, Buckinghamshire New University, UK.

Pat set up the stoma care department at Hillingdon Hospital in 1985 and has published many articles and books on stoma care. Pat is the course convenor for a diploma and degree in stoma care, and has won 9 awards for stoma care.

 

Dorothy Doughty - USA

Dorothy Doughty MN, RN, CWOCN, FAAN

Dorothy has experience in medical-surgical nursing, paediatric nursing, nursing management, quality management, and nursing education.  She has been a Wound Ostomy Continence(WOC/ET) nurse since 1980 and has been Director of the Emory University WOC Nursing Education Program since 1984.  She is a past President of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society and is Wounds Section Editor for JWOCN.  She has multiple publications and presentations in the area of WOC nursing.

 

Dr Gary Sibbald - Canada

Dr. Sibbald BSc, MD, FRCPC(Med) (Derm), Med

Dr Gary Sibbald is a Dermatologist and Internist, Professor of Public Health and Medicine at the University of Toronto and President of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies. He is the cofounder and first chairman of the Canadian Association of Wound Care.  Professor Sibbald is also the co-founder (1999) and course director of the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) that has trained more than 1500 Canadian & international wound care key opinion leaders. He has over 200 publications (peer reviewed articles, book chapters, consensus statements, educational enablers).

 

Sandy Quigley - USA

Sandy Quigley CWOCN, CPNP
Clinical Specialist in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Care, Children’s Hospital Boston

Sandy has over 26 years of paediatric nursing experience at the Children’s Hospital Boston. She provides care to children, adolescents and young adults from around the world. She completed her Enterostomal Therapy program in 1993 and then became the first Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurse at Children’s Hospital. Sandy received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, specializing as a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner in 1996 and was instrumental in developing the Braden Q pressure assessment scale for paediatrics

 

Mary Jo Kroeber - Australia

Mary Jo Kroeber AM, MSc (HlthSc), Grad Dip Admin, BASocSc,
BAppSc (nsg), FRCNA (DLF), ACHSE

Mary Jo has extensive experience in health service management.  An experienced speaker, Mary Jo has delivered many papers nationally and internationally.  She has held several international consultancy positions, including to Japanese and Israeli medical and nursing groups, Israel Health Services and has held  distinguished positions, including President of College of

Nursing Australia, International President WCET and President of AASTN. Mary Jo is the recipient of many national and international awards, including being appointed a member of the Order of Australia for her outstanding contribution to nursing. She is an inaugural and life member of the AASTN, and Life Member of WCET.
