About the facilitators:

Dr. Thanh Ha

Dr Thanh Ha has a special interest in the prevention and management of work injuries. She has over 7 years’ experience solely in the Occupational Medicine arena, preceded by 10 years of surgical experience and 8 years of physiotherapy experience before that. She has also completed a PhD in surgery. Dr Ha practices in Salisbury and Payneham, servicing the northern and central areas of Adelaide. She has also been recently appointed as Medical Advisor for ReturnToWorkSA.

Cassandra Zaina

Cassandra is a Specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapist and has a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (1997). Cassandra is a passionate clinician with over 28 years private practice and occupational health experience and has also worked as a clinical lecturer and educator at the University of South Australia. Cassandra currently works as a Physiotherapy Advisor at ReturnToWorkSA and is developing an online program to encourage good work habits for primary school aged children called Hands up! For Health!

Fiona Belton

Fiona has been an Accredited Exercise Physiologist for over 20 years, working with a range of clients from WorkCover and Motor Vehicle Accident patients, to people with various health and musculoskeletal conditions and sports people. Her main interests are in the role of exercise for chronic disease management, exercise for mental health benefits, type 2 diabetes and injury rehabilitation. Fiona is also an Exercise Physiologist Advisor at ReturnToWorkSA and lecturer at TAFE SA.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Utilise a variety of assessment tools to accurately determine an individual's work capacity, demonstrating understanding of their interpretation and application.
  • Review the process of completing the ReturnToWorkSA work capacity certificate, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of work capacity, enabling GPs to adapt interventions and support measures to optimise return-to-work outcomes for individuals undergoing rehabilitation.
