Aimed for nurses only. This CPD activity will provide participants with the chance to develop their understanding of electrocardiogram. Nurses will be guided through the process of performing a systematic 12 lead ECG.

Learning outcomes:

  • Look at the components of a normal 12 Lead ECG
  • Discuss the nursing actions required for patient preparation and the recording of a diagnostic standard 12-lead ECG
  • Develop skills in basic and advanced ECG interpretation and the differentiation of abnormal cardiac rhythms through case discussion
