Education workshops

sapmea creates opportunities for health professionals to continue their professional education by participating in educational events or working with medical organisations (see our client events) to facilitate educational opportunities including workshops, seminars and conferences.

sapmea is an Accredited Activity Provider (AAP) with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for the 2011-2013 Triennium.  sapmea’s Education Activity Representatives ensure that all sapmea workshops have relevant RACGP QI&CPD points and all rural workshops have relevant Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) points attached.

All Emergency and Procedural Medicine workshops are conducted as minimum one full day (6 hours of learning) and are tailored to ensure they meet both the educational needs of the General Practitioners (GPs) as well as the procedural grant criteria.

GPs gain maximum benefit from attending sapmea education workshops - quality education, as well as obtaining maximum points and grants where possible.

GP Registrars, Medical Students, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals are welcome to attend all education workshops at a reduced registration fee (see individual workshop information for prices).  sapmea is currently investigating needs of these professionals to ensure future workshop planning maximises integrated education opportunities.
