sapro insists on accreditation for its Conference Consultants, believing that their professional development and association is critical to their success. To ensure currency, all accredited members must re-apply every three years, showing proof of ongoing training and references.
Professional Conference Organisers Association
The Association was established to help Conference and Event Managers have access to a range of services, best practice documentation and preferred rates from suppliers. PCO Accreditation is a set of standards established by and for the PCO Association and its members. Accreditation provides clients and industry with an assurance that the Event Manager and or Event Management Business they are dealing with is committed to the highest quality event management business practices, consistency and reliability in the delivery of services, professional standards and dedication to continuous improvement.
Certified Event Manager (CEM) certification is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative assessments of intelligence / academic ability, industry qualifications, experience and quality of delivery. CEMs need to apply for renewal every three years to maintain their accreditation.
Meetings and Events Australia
MEA is the largest meetings industry association with 1800 members and subscribers across the complete spectrum of the Australian and New Zealand meetings & events industry. Every member of MEA pledges to abide by the Industry’s code of ethics.
The process to become an Accredited Meetings Manager (AMM) is one of rigorous peer review involving competency assessment, interview and client references. Accredited Meetings Managers need to display a strong capability in all areas of meetings management, such as budgeting, planning, project management, sponsorship and client support.
