As a not-for-profit association with deductable gift recipient status, sapmea is unique in its capacity to support research and continuing education for the better health of our community. Profits generated by sapmea provide research programs, scholarships and continuing education programs for medical professionals in metropolitan and rural areas.

sapmea liaises with key organisations to identify areas of need and opportunity for continuing medical education. Through this knowledge, sapmea develops and provides ongoing educational resources such as the sapmea VideoTutorials for small groups, which allow individual practitioners access to specialist knowledge.
